Les ondes de l'escarpolette

The idea of "Les ondes DE l'escarpolette" was born during the composing of the sound track for the promotional picture of Tilburg city, a realization of Tilburg it`s Municipality.

There was a scene, were some kids were playing at a playground, on among others thing (of course) as a rocking chair.

The oscillating movements and the wicked playfulness of the children inspired the composer a lot that is guided to this creation.

The base of the piano solo composition is merely one musical motive, what (theoretically speaking) suits the term of the “minimal music”, but in spite of the commission to write a minimal music piece, this work took a much different shape.

Probably because of the guiltiness the “children” wicked playfulness…
